Upcoming Educational Programs
Educational Programs:
Journey of Flight is at the heart of a dynamic initiative led by San Antonio companies and educational leaders to create a comprehensive “Pre-K to Careers” pipeline in the aerospace and cyber fields. From the moment a child’s curiosity sparks, a network of programs and support systems will be ready to nurture their interests through to military or industry careers. Introductory, developmental, support, and networking programs will also be available for educators and parents to help them understand their potential and guide young explorers. The goal is to unveil the incredible opportunities that await and to guide both young people and their families toward a future where the sky truly has no limits.
Volunteer Corps - Air & Space Forces' Basic Military Training Graduations
Currently the volunteer corps supports the Air & Space Forces’ Basic Military Training (BMT) Graduations every Thursday morning. They call themselves “Graduation Guides” with the mission of greeting the BMT graduates’ families and providing information and guidance. From three to five thousand family members show up every week to honor the 6 to 8 hundred new Airmen & Guardians. For many, this is their first exposure to the Air & Space Forces communities and their first visit to San Antonio. Interested in becoming a Graduation Guide? Sign up to volunteer today
